International Court of Justice

Agenda : The Republic of Marshall Islands Case

We have our last committee as the International Court of Justice with the agenda as The Republic of Marshall Islands Case. ICJ is the principal judicial court of UN responsible for settling the disputes between nations in accordance with International law.

On April 24, 2014, the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) filed applications in the ICJ to hold the nine nuclear-armed states accountable for violations of international law with respect to their nuclear disarmament obligations under the 1968 Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and customary international law.

The International Court of Justice must prove itself the duty it carries upon as the bringer of justice in international legal order.
