Description: “Leadership in today’s world requires far more than a large stock of gunboats and a hard fist at the conference table.” After the grand success of second edition of DPSEMUN 2017, DPS Eldeco organized a plethora of conference and debates, to be the host of the third edition of DPSEMUN on 11 th & 12 th August 2018. The programme commenced with Gala Inaugural session attended by the delegates from various schools to gratify the conference. Ceremonial lamp was lighted by the honorable director of the school Ms. Firdaus and the principal Dr. Deepti Dwivedi. The general secretary Shashwat Gupta, in his speech extended his hearty welcome to all the overwhelming participating delegates and debators wished the good luck. Keeping in mind, the motto of the conference “Be the change you want to see in the world”. Shashwat Gupta was exuberant enough to declare the conference open. A magnificent dance performance by the students exhilarated the audience. The topic for debate were the current issues like Restoring sovereignty to, and reforming the Commonwealth, supporting framework for sustainable development and Green Economy etc . Where these budding leaders genuinely debated in a friendly atmosphere. Looking at the necessity of the present scenario to nurture the “a prior i” speakers and confident leaders of the future world the conference was indeed a supernova. The logistics department did a great job to provide the committees with all their requirements. The breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner were the memorabilia of the hospitality of the host school. The two days conference came to a close with a prolific exultation. The honorable chief guest Mr. Zafar Abbas Naqvi DSP graced the occasion and conferred the certificates and mementos to the deserving delegates. Each committee was given awards. Seth MR Jaipuria School was presented with the best school delegates trophy. The principal Dr. Deepti Dwivedi enamoured her inspiring words with a vote of thanks. As to declared the closing of the conference, the secretary general, with hi brief speech, and thanked the delegates for their presence and endeavor and expressed his hope for the next successful edition of DPSEMUN 18 to be held in the school.
