United Nations Security Council

Agenda : Disputed Territories Around China

Without wasting any time, we have our next committee to awe you people. To be stimulated at the DPSEMUN 17 is the United Nations Security Council.

The agenda of this committee shall be to resolve the disputes pertaining to territorial disputes in China's surroundings. UNSC is the organ of the UN which is primarily responsible for international peace and security. We can imagine the havoc which would be created in the entire world if there is no International peace keeping organ among the countries.

Territorial disputes in the South China Sea involve both island and maritime claims among several sovereign states within the region, namely Brunei, the People's Republic of China, the Republic of China (Taiwan), Malaysia, the Philippines, and Vietnam. Since for a long period of time these disputes pertaining to China have not been discussed and pose a threat to world peace, it was to be one of the committees stimulated at the DPSEMUN 2017.

Leveling up with our other committees, we present to you another traditional UN committee - United Nations Security Council
